"Another Day" (50 x 50 cm) is an intimate study of clouds at the break of dawn. Part of the Blinkered series, this smaller-scale work captures the delicate transition of light as a new day begins. Lukasz Olek uses a synesthetic approach to translate the quiet anticipation of morning into a harmonious palette of soft pinks and cool teals. Framed in an elegant American box (floating frame), the piece emphasizes the "honesty of the material," with the raw linen texture serving as a structural foundation for the atmospheric narrative.
The technique involves layering vibrant undercurrents with muted glazes, which are then meticulously "toned down" and scraped to reveal the history of the painting's surface. Despite its smaller size, the work retains a monumental sense of calm, designed to bring balance to modern, minimalist interiors. Olek’s works are held in private collections globally and have been exhibited in major art hubs including London, New York, and Paris.
