Bring Him Fire (2025)
“The mountains do not ask for permission to be silent. At sunset, the peaks don’t just catch the light; they ignite, holding the sun’s fire long after the valleys have fallen into shadow.”
* The Alpine Inferno: This monumental 150 x 200 cm canvas is a visceral response to the jagged silhouette of the Tatra Mountains during a dramatic sunset. It captures the tension between the cold, unyielding stone and the fleeting, incandescent orange of the sky. By applying the Blinkered method to this high-altitude landscape, I have distilled the chaotic majesty of the peaks into a series of powerful, horizontal vibrations of color and light.
* The Musical Cipher: The title Bring Him Fire serves as a rhythmic command within my "sonic diary." It is a direct reference to a track or a melodic surge that echoed through the studio, providing the raw energy needed to tackle such a massive surface. I invite the collector to look for the auditory spark within these deep violets and burning ambers; only when the music’s intensity aligns with the texture of the linen is the true synergy of the work’s "inner fire" unlocked.
* Monumental Presence: Executed on premium 3D linen canvas, the work possesses a physical weight that mirrors the permanence of the mountains. Using unconventional DIY tools like rags and sponges, I built dozens of layers to create a surface that is both rugged and ethereal. This piece is designed as a "visual monolith" for expansive contemporary interiors, offering a sense of grounded power and the meditative silence of the high peaks.
