Daydream in Blue (2025)
“Blue is not just a color; it is a distance. It’s the place where the edge of a golden field meets the infinite sky, and your thoughts finally have room to wander.”
* The Idyllic Horizon: This 60 x 73 cm work is a soft, lyrical study of a summer field under a vast, azure sky. It captures a moment of pure, pastoral peace—the kind of stillness that feels both comforting and slightly melancholic, like a memory of a place you’ve only visited in your dreams. By distilling the rural landscape into rhythmic, horizontal bands of light, I have created a "sanctuary for the eyes".
* The Musical Cipher: The title Daydream in Blue is a direct fragment of my "sonic diary". It hides a connection to a specific melody—perhaps a trip-hop classic or a hazy, electronic anthem—that dictated the slow, rhythmic tempo of the brushstrokes. I invite the collector to find the track that mirrors this turquoise vibration; only then is the full synergy of the Blinkered series unlocked.
* Layered Stillness: Executed on a 3D linen canvas, the painting has a physical presence that belies its delicate subject matter. Using unconventional DIY tools like sponges and rags, I applied dozens of translucent glazes to build a "kaleidoscopic" depth. The transition from the warm, earthy tones of the meadow to the electric, shimmering blue of the sky creates a surface that seems to radiate its own internal light.
