Fading Out (2023)
“Light doesn't always need to shout to be felt. Sometimes, its greatest power lies in the way it softly retreats, leaving behind a glow that feels more like a memory than a physical presence.”
* The Soft Radiance: This 100 x 100 cm contemporary painting is a delicate exploration of light’s dissolution. It captures the sun’s rays as they are filtered through a thick, atmospheric layer of clouds, turning a blinding glare into a series of soft, rhythmic pulses of amber, gold, and dusty blue. By applying the Blinkered method, I have transformed the vastness of the sky into a centered, intimate glow that feels both expansive and protective.
* The Musical Cipher: The title Fading Out is a key coordinate in my "sonic diary." It references a track characterized by long, sustained reverbs and a melody that slowly dissolves into ambient silence. I invite the collector to find the auditory "fade" within these translucent glazes; only when the music’s gradual recession aligns with the soft, blended edges on the canvas is the true, tranquil frequency of this light unlocked.
* Atmospheric Equilibrium: Executed on a premium square canvas, the work achieves a remarkable sense of balance between the cool, misty blues of the upper atmosphere and the warm, earthy undertones reflecting from below. Using unconventional DIY tools—from fine-mist sprayers to feathered rags—I built a surface that mimics the hazy, liquid quality of a sun-drenched sky. This abstract landscape serves as a source of quiet energy, perfect for an interior that seeks a calm, luminous presence.
