* The Nocturnal Monolith: This 60 x 73 cm contemporary nocturne is a profound study of absolute darkness and its hidden dimensions. It is dominated by a vast, impenetrable black core that occupies the center of the linen canvas, representing the stillness of the world in the deepest part of the night. By applying the Blinkered method, I have framed this darkness between two glowing thresholds—a weathered, ochre crown at the top and a misty, silver-grey base—creating a tension that suggests a landscape viewed through the narrow lens of a waking dream.

* The Musical Cipher: The title Half Past Midnight serves as a temporal coordinate in my "sonic diary." It references a track defined by deep, resonant drones and isolated, echoing notes that cut through the silence like distant streetlights. I invite the collector to find the auditory depth within these dark glazes; only when the music’s low-frequency vibration matches the dense, scratched textures of the black field is the true, "midnight" frequency of this work unlocked.

* Atmospheric Density: Executed on premium linen, the work utilizes the natural grit of the fabric to add a tactile quality to the darkness. Using unconventional DIY tools—from heavy steel scrapers to fine-misting cloths—I built up layers of deep charcoal and soot, allowing the underlying warm tones to "bleed" through the edges. This abstract landscape acts as a grounding element in any interior, offering a sense of sophisticated calm and the quiet power of the unseen.
