Here Goes Gravity (2024)
“There are moments when the sky feels so vast and the light so soft that even gravity seems to lose its grip. It is an invitation to let go of the earth and become part of the air itself.”
* The Weightless Horizon: This 60 x 73 cm contemporary painting is a delicate study of light in its most fragile state. It captures the exact moment when the morning sun begins to pierce through a thick veil of clouds, dissolving the landscape into a "powdery" gradient of pale azure, soft pink, and warm orange. By applying the Blinkeredmethod, I have distilled the chaotic movement of the atmosphere into a series of serene, horizontal pulses that radiate a sense of absolute peace.
* The Musical Cipher: The title Here Goes Gravity is a direct reference within my "sonic diary." It echoes the uplifting, airy tempo of a specific track that provided the rhythm for this work—a melody that speaks of liberation and the feeling of suspension. I invite the collector to seek the auditory counterpart to these pastel vibrations; only when the music’s lightness aligns with the soft texture of the linen is the true synergy of the work’s "floating" energy unlocked.
* Translucent Radiance: Executed on premium linen canvas, the painting’s surface is built from dozens of paper-thin, translucent glazes. Using unconventional DIY tools like sponges and rags, I’ve created a depth that doesn't feel heavy, but rather reflects light from within. The result is a work that changes subtly throughout the day, mimicking the shifting nature of the sky itself—a perfect, meditative addition to any space that seeks a breath of fresh, luminous air.
