I Can't Hear Your Heartbeat (2023)
“There is a specific kind of silence that only arrives on a midsummer afternoon. It is a golden, heavy stillness where the world stops spinning, and even the beat of a heart feels like an unnecessary intrusion into the perfect quiet of the sun.”
* The Eternal Afternoon: This 120 x 120 cm contemporary painting is a monumental immersion into a sun-drenched, summer haze. It captures the essence of a day where time feels static, rendered in a warm palette of dusty peaches, soft ambers, and sun-bleached creams. By applying the Blinkered method, I have dissolved the traditional horizon into a series of glowing, horizontal strata, mimicking the way extreme heat and light distort the landscape into a shimmering, abstract memory.
* The Musical Cipher: The title I Can't Hear Your Heartbeat is a poignant coordinate in my "sonic diary." It references a track characterized by slow, atmospheric drones and a rhythmic absence—a melody that feels like it’s drifting in from another room. I invite the collector to find the auditory stillness within these hazy layers; only when the music’s suspended tempo matches the soft, blended glazes on the canvas is the true, "breathless" frequency of this summer dream unlocked.
* Luminous Layers: Executed on a premium square canvas, the work utilizes dozens of translucent acrylic glazes to achieve a light-emitting quality. Using unconventional DIY tools—from industrial sponges to feathered rags—I built a surface that seems to vibrate with internal heat. This abstract landscape serves as a focal point of peace, bringing a permanent sense of warmth and the quiet luxury of "stopped time" into a modern interior.
