New Hope (2023)
“Hope is not a sudden flash of light; it is a slow, steady warmth that dissolves the mist. It is the quietest part of the morning, when the air is still cool, but you can already feel the heat of the day waiting to rise.”
* The Dawn of Clarity: This 100 x 160 cm abstract landscape is a monumental study in atmospheric transition. It captures the ethereal beauty of a misty morning, rendered in a sophisticated palette of soft greys, creamy ivories, and a radiant, golden-orange horizon. By applying the Blinkered method, I have distilled the landscape into vast, horizontal bands of light, creating a window into a world where the heavy fog of the night is finally surrendering to the warmth of a new day.
* The Musical Cipher: The title New Hope is a vital coordinate in my "sonic diary." It references a track characterized by uplifting, ambient swells and a rhythmic, low-frequency hum that feels like a deep inhalation. I invite the collector to find the auditory expansion within these layered glazes; only when the music’s resonant, rising chords align with the shimmering "light-leaks" on the linen is the true, optimistic frequency of this dawn unlocked.
* Monumental Radiance: Executed on a grand-scale premium linen canvas, the work utilizes the natural texture of the fabric to enhance the feeling of organic light. Using unconventional DIY tools—from wide industrial sponges to delicate misting rags—I built a surface that appears to vibrate with internal warmth. This contemporary paintingacts as a powerful source of serenity, perfect for an interior that requires a sense of openness, light, and the quiet power of a "fresh start."
